Pop Titan Pink’s literally slaying 2017 – did y’all check out her death-defying AMA performance of ‘Beautiful Trauma‘ this Sunday? #shedidthat
With her 7th studio album ‘Beautiful Trauma‘ (easily one of 2017’s finest) debuting atop the Billboard 200, Pink cements her status as a bona-fide icon – she’s been the underdog queen for way too long and deserves her dues. Seriously though, look at the first week numbers of her contemporary Pop princesses Britney and Christina’s latest efforts. Pink’s outsold the total sales of Britney’s ‘Glory‘ and Christina’s ‘Lotus‘ in her first week itself. And I’m not even considering sales of today’s Pop princesses Selena, Demi, Miley etc.
The era’s already been amazing so far – and thankfully my fave song off the album, the title track, gets a much-needed video treatment. The 60’s-themed colorful video for the stellar rock ballad features Channing Tatum and Pink playing Fred and Ginger Hart – an homage to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Cross dressing, bondage, drugs and choreography – the video has it all!
