Taylor Swift Slays Billboard Charts As ‘Blank Page’ Tops Hot 100, ‘1989’ Spends Third Week Atop Billboard 200!

It’s official. Taylor Swift really is the music industry.

As ‘1989‘ spends a third week atop the Billboard 200 Albums Chart with another 312,000 units sold this week – the album crosses the 2 million mark in a matter of a mere 3 weeks since it debuted with a historical 1.28 million units. Bow down y’all – seriously bow down!

And that’s not even her biggest achievement this week!

The second single ‘Blank Page‘ roars up from # 13 last week to # 1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart – bumping off Taylor’s lead single ‘Shake It Off‘ from the pole position after 4 non consecutive weeks. Swift thus creates history by replacing herself at the top of the Hot 100 – she actually becomes the first woman to do so (and 10th overall) in the history of the Billboard charts!

No question about who’s ruling the biz here – Taylor’s jump from Country to Pop is possibly the year’s biggest event.

I love what she’s done with ‘1989‘ – it’s a legitimate slay-worthy album that re-defines her sound, yet retains the very essence of what made her this generation’s biggest superstar.

Keep them hits coming gurl!
