Pop chanteuse Sara Bareilles has had a stellar year so far, with her third major label studio album ‘The Blessed Unrest‘ proving to be her most successful era yet since her breakthrough with 2005’s ‘Little Voice‘.
Buoyed by the Katy Perry comparisons, the lead single ‘Brave‘ has sold in excess of over 2 million digital units in the US, and is STILL charting on the Billboard Hot 100 almost a year after its release. With an Album Of The Year nod at this year’s Grammy Awards, ‘The Blessed Unrest‘ as already shifted over 300,000 units in the US alone since it’s # 2 début on the Billboard 200, with ‘Brave‘ doing most of the work in pushing album sales.
Due to the prolonged success of ‘Brave‘, Bareilles had delayed the radio promo and video release for the second single ‘I Choose You‘ – easily the best song on the album. Thankfully, the lush number FINALLY gets an incredible video treatment absolutely fit for the song, with Bareilles helping out two sets of fans, one straight and one gay, with their engagement proposals to their respective partners.
The breezy, feel-good ‘I Choose You‘ should follow up ‘Brave’‘s success – it’s Bareilles’ best song and video in ages!
For all the lovers out there waiting to pop the question, this adorable video’s for you.
