Ingrid Michaelson Unveils Gender-Bending ‘Girls Chase Boys’ Video, New Album ‘Lights Out’ Dropping On April 15th

Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack staple and singer-songwriter par excellence Ingrid Michaelson gives a shout-out to Robert Palmer’s iconic 1986 video ‘Addicted To Love‘ (channeled again by Pop/Country Goddess Supreme Mizz Shania Twain for the video for her smash ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman‘) on her brand new video for the single ‘Girls Chase Boys‘.

The single previews the Indie darling’s much anticipated 6th studio album titled ‘Lights Out‘, which drops on April 15th this year.

The ‘Be Ok‘ chanteuse unveils a gender-bending extravaganza for her lead single, with studly dudes rocking hot pink tank tops and crazy make-up surrounding her as she delves into possibly the catchiest track of her impressive discography.

Explains Ingrid about her new single and video – ”’Girls Chase Boys’ started out as a break up song but took on a deeper meaning as I continued writing. More than just being about my experience, its focus shifted to include the idea that, no matter who or how we love, we are all the same. The video takes that idea one step further, and attempts to turn stereotypical gender roles on their head. Girls don’t exclusively chase boys. We all know this. We all chase each other and in the end we are all chasing after the same thing: love.”

Lights Out‘ follows 2012’s stellar ‘Human Again‘ – her highest charting album on the Billboard Charts, debuting and peaking at # 5 (her only top 10 hit till date).
