Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’ Dominates UK Top 40 For A Second Week!

It’s mostly a criminal offence to deny Ellie Goulding a much deserved # 1 spot with almost EVERYTHING that she has released so far. Considering her massive global impact after ‘Lights‘ became one of the biggest hits of 2012, one would have thought the 26-year-old could easily collect a bevy of # 1 singles – especially in the UK – with her high-profile guest artists ranging from boyfriend Calvin Harris to Tinie Tempah.

Surprisingly, ‘Burn‘ – the first official single from Goulding’s re-release of her sophomore album ‘Halcyon‘, now titled ‘Halcyon Days‘ (out now) – becomes the folktronica diva’s very first UK # 1 single!

Better late than never. Hallelujah.

Burn‘ spends a second week atop the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart, after bumping off ‘We Can’t Stop‘ by Miley Cyrus (her first # 1 single as well), and fending off Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up‘ which holds firmly at # 2.
