Our Lady Of The Pout, the fabulously flawless Mizz Lana Del Rey has already had a stellar year and a half y’all.

With 3.5 million units of her sophomore album ‘Born To Die‘ sold around the world (which debuted within the top 3 in almost every country ever), the world at large expected the ‘Video Games‘ chanteuse to start work on her maddeningly anticipated follow-up by now.

Well, take several seats and relax.

The Queen Of Coney Island is off to the races again, as ‘Summertime Sadness‘, easily one of the best singles to be released from the album, retraces its way up the charts, thanks to French DJ Cedric Gervais’ remix released to radio globally. While the song roared up the Billboard Charts last week placing itself at # 37  (her 3rd charting single and just her second highest placement following the # 22 peaking ‘Young And Beautiful‘), the song becomes her biggest hit on the UK Top 40 this week, soaring a massive 28 places up the chart to reach # 4.

Her previous peak arrived in the form of ‘Video Games‘ and ‘Born To Die‘ – both of which peaked at # 9 on the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart.

Looks like Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die‘ era is far from being over y’all – the steady rise of ‘Summertime Sadness‘ has just begun.

Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up‘ tops the singles chart for a 3rd week in a row, selling another 120,000 units this week to cross the half-million mark within just 3 weeks!

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris creates history on the UK Charts this week, as he becomes the only artist in British music history to place 9 top 10 hits from one album, as ‘Thinking About You‘ featuring Ayah Marar from his album ‘18 Months‘ moves up to # 9 this week. Harris thus breaks Michael Jackson’s record of 7 top 10 hits from one album in the UK. In the US though, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen holds the record as the only male vocalists with 7 top 10 songs from one album, while Janet Jackson still remains unbeatable and ahead of the pack as the only artist in history to have 7 top 5 singles from one album, ‘Rhythm Nation 1814‘.
