Selena Gomez Debuts At # 1 On Billboard 200 With ‘Stars Dance’!

Selenators rejoice!!

In case you’re fungating under a rock, Disney princesses Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have decided to unleash some massive slay-age on the Billboard charts – rolling out the big guns for their latest projects, each achieving the biggest hits of their career so far with their latest singles previewing their brand new albums.

But it’s Mizz Selena Gomez (the only thing good about Justin Bieber, thankfully that’s done and over with) who roars ahead of the pack, scoring her very first # 1 album as well as the highest first week sales of her career, as ‘Stars Dance‘ – the chanteuse’s fourth studio album – arrives at # 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart this week with sales of over 97,000 units!

Gomez scored the biggest hit of her career with ‘Come And Get It‘, the first single off ‘Stars Dance‘, which peaked at #6 on the Hot 100 a few weeks ago, and knocks off Jay-Z’s ‘Magna Carta…Holy Grail‘ from the penthouse to # 2 this week.

Over at the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, global warmer Robin Thicke refuses to let go of the # 1 spot with his ridiculously addictive single ‘Blurred Lines‘ featuring TI and Pharrell, which spends an 8th week at the top of the charts, the longest running # 1 of 2013 so far. Coincidentally, Thicke is all set to replace Mizz Gomez at # 1 on the Albums Chart next week as his ‘Blurred Lines‘ album is poised to sell over 130,000 units, enough to bump off ‘Stars Dance‘.
