It’s safe to say that global superstar Kelly Rowland’s 4th studio album ‘Talk A Good Game‘ is her version of her idol Janet Jackson’s ‘The Velvet Rope‘ – undoubtedly her most personal work till date, not to mention thoroughly iconic.
Kelly’s gone all out when it comes to getting raw, and ‘Dirty Laundry‘ is possibly her most heart-felt track till date. Thankfully, the track has been chosen as the 3rd official single from the album, which debuted at # 4 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart last month.
The emotional track also gets a much awaited video directed by Sarah McColgan, and the engaging clip sees Kelly tackling issues of domestic violence with her abusive boyfriend, as well as confessing her issues with her Destiny’s Child cohort Beyoncé’s success.
The video’s amazing, and Rowland definitely takes a leap forward as a visual artist as well as a vocalist with this project. She looks positively divine, curled up in a foetal position while floating serenely in a dark pool of water in the rather eerie clip.
Undoubtedly, one of her best videos till date.
