Pink Dominates Billboard Hot 100 With ‘Just Give Me A Reason’ Featuring Nate Ruess!

Hell yeah!

After ages – eons literally – a SLAY-WORTHY song surges up to occupy the penthouse of the Billboard Hot 100.

Pop megastar Pink – steadily on her way to become a bona fide icon – powers her way to # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Nate Ruess assisted 3rd single ‘Just Give Me A Reason‘ from her global chart-topping 6th studio album ‘The Truth About Love‘.

13 years in the biz, and the woman is FINALLY receiving the love (and the accolades) she truly deserves y’all – she was criminally underrated for a majority of her illustrious career.

Just Give Me A Reason‘ thus becomes Pink’s 4th Billboard # 1, arriving almost 12 years after she occupied the penthouse for the first time with a little help from Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya on ‘Lady Marmalade‘ back in June, 2001 – as well as the 3rd consecutive top 10 hit from ‘The Truth About Love‘ (and her 14th overall top 10 hit in the US).

A coupla Grammy’s early next year – and I’ll be happy.

Demi Lovato’s ‘Heart Attack‘ becomes the pop chanteuse’s 3rd top 10 hits, as the release of a new video accompanying the song propels the song up to # 10 on the Hot 100 this week. The song previews the singer’s 4th studio album ‘Demi‘, scheduled for release on May 14th.

Viral sensation and horsing/galloping/twisting connoisseur Psy unleashes his new video ‘Gentleman‘ which roars in at # 12 on the Hot 100 with just 2 days of YouTube views and 27,000 downloads sold. With the song already setting a global record for the most number of YouTube hits in a single day, and with steadily increasing download sales, ‘Gentleman‘ should easily gallop into the top 10 next week. So much for Psy being a one-hit-wonder.  I wonder when critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/vocal goddess Rebecca Black will release her much awaited feverishly anticipated speed-metal/bluegrass infused neo-soul single. With YouTube powering songs like ‘Harlem Shake‘ to # 1, I’m sure Ms Black will snatch Rihanna’s wig #bowdown #bodyparty #ARTPOP.

Over at the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, rockers Paramore earn their first Billboard # 1 as ‘Paramore‘ arrives at # 1 with 106,000 units sold in the US this week. The set, which has already topped the UK as well as the Australian charts earlier this week, bumps Justin Timberlake’s ‘The 20/20 Experience‘ to # 3 this week (98,000 units sold).
