Gotye, Kimbra, Carrie Underwood, Fun., Black Keys, Mumford And Sons Big Winners At 2013 Grammy Awards!

With 3 pieces of hardware, Gotye emerged the big winner at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards held last night at the Staples Center in LA – with his global smash ‘Somebody That I Used To Know‘ (featuring Kimbra) winning the coveted Record Of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo/Group awards, while his album ‘Making Mirrors‘ took home the award for Best Alternative Album, triumphing over albums by heavyweights Bjork and Fiona Apple.

I won’t mind if I don’t have another record like this one, I think I’ve written better songs and I hope to keep writing better songs,” – gushed the Belgian-Australian hit-maker after his final win for the night.

Fun.’s ‘We Are Young‘ (featuring Janelle Monae) won the coveted Song Of The Year nod, while the band also took home the award for Best New Artist, beating fellow nominees and front-runners Frank Ocean and The Lumineers.

Mumford And Sons took home the other big award for the night, the Album Of The Year trophy for ‘Babel‘, as well as the award for Best Long Form Music Video for ‘Big Easy Express‘.

The flawless Carrie Underwood was the big winner in the country categories with 2 nods – Best Country Solo Performance as well as Best Country Song for ‘Blown Away‘.

The Black Keys, Jay – Z, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Skrillex took home multiple awards last night, while usual suspects Adele, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Rihanna each added an award to their collection of hardware.
