Rihanna On Course To Top The Billboard 200 Albums Chart For The First Time With ‘Unapologetic’!

No wigs are safe.

Bajan Banger, serial (singles) chart slayer, random middle-finger shower, instagram queen, Chris Brown confuser and overall awesomeness Rihanna’s career is undoubtedly shining bright (like a diamond). Go on and take a bow y’all!

Come on – the woman has an unprecedented 12 # 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 – surging ahead of legends Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and catching up with Madonna and Diana Ross And The Supremes. Did I just hear Mariah Carey’s distressed whistle register from somewhere deep inside the bowels of a studio? How about a round of applause, yeah? A standing ovation?

When Rihanna’s not too busy living her life, being the only girl (in the world) to find love in a hopeless place under an umbrella (ella ella), or trying a lil’ S’n’M with some unfaithful rude boys in her California king bed, or sending out disturbing SOS signals – Mizz Fenty is also busy defending her record as the highest selling digital artist OF ALL TIME!

With accolades galore, including 5 Grammy’s, it’s ironic that the total number albums by Rihanna that have topped the Billboard 200 Albums Chart is precisely zero.

But all that’s about to change, with Rihanna’s 5487th 7th studio album ‘Unapologetic‘ all set to slay your faves with estimated sales of about 250,000 units in the US by the end of the week, and possibly arriving at # 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart – her first # 1 album, as well as the highest first-week sales of her career!

There are, however, some unpredictable moves estimated on the charts – especially cuz of Black Friday. Exactly a year ago, Michael Buble’s ‘Christmas‘ made an unprecedented leap to block Nickleback and coincidentally, Rihanna from arriving at # 1. So don’t be too surprised if Rod Stewart’s ‘Merry Christmas, Baby‘ or Taylor Swift’s ‘Red‘ sell through the roof and deny Mizz Fenty that coveted # 1 spot.

Either way, Rihanna has a winner at hand, as ‘Unapologetic‘ is probably her most versatile album till date, and a standout album of her extensive discography. With ‘Diamonds‘ shining bright at # 1 on the Hot 100, let’s just say that if she were Janet Jackson, this would be the phase where she released the iconic ‘janet.’ album, especially when you notice the similarities between both the album covers.

The Rihanna reign, quite literally, won’t give up y’all!
