Pop icon, living legend and all around free-of-flaw diva supreme Cher has finally unveiled what happens to be the first single from her brand new album – her first in precisely 10 years since the # 9 peaking Gold certified ‘Living Proof‘ released in 2002.
The 66-year-old Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning songstress uploaded a link to the new song titled ‘Woman’s World‘ on her website, tweeting the link and wishing her fans a happy thanksgiving.
‘Woman’s World‘ is co-written by Anthony Crawford and Paul Oakenfold – and is an absolute club banger. Over relentless beats, Cher’s perfect vocals float and soar to a crescendo as she declares -
‘Cause it don’t matter I’m movin’ on
Go-gonna lose myself in the beat of the drum
‘Cause honey this is a battle that you haven’t won
Torn up, busted, taken apart
I’ve been broken down
Left with a broken heart
But I’m stronger
Strong enough to rise above
This is a woman’s world’
The power, the fierceness, the attitude – Cher asserts the fact that at 66, she’s far from being ‘done’ in the bizness.
I’m feeling it, and it’s definitely a HUGE deal. It’s a brand new Cher album after all peeps!
