With ‘Two Eleven‘, her 6th studio album, debuting at # 1 on the Billboard R’n’B Albums Chart – her first in precisely a decade since 2002’s classic ‘Full Moon‘ – and at # 3 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, it’s safe to assume that R’n’B royalty Brandy is, by far, one of the most respected veterans in the biz.
18 years and counting, Mizz Norwood continues to vow the world with her insane set of pipes , and with ‘Two Eleven‘ arriving to rave reviews globally, the Grammy winning songstress supreme defiantly dares to bring real R’n’B back – with rather stunning results.
After making all the right moves with the album’s first single ‘Put It Down‘ featuring Chris Brown (# 3, Billboard R’n’B/Hip Hop Songs Chart), Brandy unleashes a brand new video for the album’s second single, and my fave song on the album, ‘Wildest Dreams‘ produced by The Bizness.
An elegantly shot video, ‘Wildest Dreams‘ takes us back to the 90’s and uncannily reminds me of the video for Brandy’s ‘Best Friend‘ – one of the best videos of her career. Possibly because ‘Wildest Dreams‘ has been directed by Matthew Rolston, the same guy responsible for ‘Best Friend‘.
Brandy shows off some slick moves over the neo-soul infused mid-tempo jam flanked by a team of back-up dancers. I’ve never really envisioned Brandy as much of a dancer, but with this video, she effortlessly slays with the choreography and takes us back to the glory days of the 90’s when Brandy was on top of the game.
Classic, classic Brandy!
