Last time out, we introduced the band ‘Back Door Slam‘ (in case you missed it, you can find it here) A brilliant band of 20 year olds who would be perfect for School Of Rock 2. They play some astonishingly good blues. Having already impressed the likes of music industry stalwarts Peter Frampton, Joe Satriani and many more, they are definitely ones to watch out for. Now moving on, we bring you the next band that has raised a few eyebrows in their short time.
The Bandoliers started out in 2011 as a garage band practicing in their basement. In less than a year they’ve transformed into a prodigious band that’s on the rise. This bears an uncanny resemblance to one of my favorite band’s story The Black Keys.
Although still in their infancy The Bandoliers have established a reputation of energy driven live performances and equally powerful songs in their debut EP ‘Prove Yourself‘, which came out on Jan 24, 2012.
With hook-laden riffs, in your face guitars, and unique vocal harmonies the band takes pride in their cohesiveness as a group. Each member writes or sings depending on the song and its needs which makes each song noticeably different than the next.
The Bandoliers have an 80’s sound about them which is like a breath of fresh air compared to most of today’s music.
The last decade saw the rise and rise of The Black Keys. Could this decade belong to The Bandoliers?
