Maroon 5’s ‘Payphone’ Returns To # 1, Chris Brown Scores First UK # 1 Album!

Maroon 5’s on a roll y’all! And the UK loves them more than the US I guess. ‘Payphone‘ featuring Wiz Khalifa has been stuck at # 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 since eternity – behind the ugh-so-addictive-it-hurts ‘Call Me Maybe‘ by Canadian chanteuse Carly Rae Jepsen – but on the other side of the pond, the former UK Top 40 # 1 single returns to the coveted top spot for a second week, dethroning Will.I.Am’s ‘This Is Love‘ feat. Eva Simons. The band’s 4th studio album ‘Overexposed‘ remains a non-mover at # 2 after debuting there last week behind Linkin Park’s ‘Living Things‘ which slips to # 3 this week after debuting at # 1.

Over at the UK Top 40 Albums Chart, Chris Brown’s fortune seems bright so far – his album ‘Fortune‘ arrives at # 1 this week, thus earning the R’n’B star his first # 1 album on these shores. ¬†The album includes¬†the former UK # 1 hit ‘Turn Up The Music‘ and his new single ‘Don’t Wake Me Up‘ which sits at # 2 this week on the singles chart – barely 3,000 copies behind ‘Payphone‘.
