Cheryl Cole Slays UK Top 40, ‘Call My Name’ Becomes UK’s Fastest Selling # 1 Single Of 2012!

The irresponsibly gorgeous Cheryl Cole’s ‘Call My Name‘ sold a massive 152,000 copies this week to become the fastest selling # 1 single in the UK, vaulting ahead of Gary Barlow’s ‘Sing‘, that sold 142,000 copies last week. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also a hat-trick for the Girls Aloud member – who is arguably a solo pop force to be reckoned with. For the 3rd consecutive time, a lead single from Cheryl’s album has landed atop the UK Top 40 Singles Chart. It was her début single ‘Fight For This Love‘ in 2009 from her début album ‘3 Words‘, ‘Promise This‘ from her 2010 sophomore smash ‘Messy Little Raindrops‘, and now ‘Call My Name‘ – the lead single from her forthcoming third solo album ‘A Million Lights‘. If ‘A Million Lights‘ tops the albums chart, it’ll be Cheryl’s 3rd consecutive # 1 album. Could your faves ever??

Gary Barlow meanwhile enjoys a 3rd week at # 1 atop the UK Top 40 Albums Chart, which boasts of new entries by R’n’B crooner Usher, Scottish songstress Amy MacDonald and a new Fleetwood Mac collection.
