Gary Barlow, Rudimental Dominate UK Top 40; Scissor Sisters, Paloma Faith Score High Debuts!

A whole lotta chart action prior to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations this week, as singer-songwriter Gary Barlow soars in at # 1 on the UK Top 40 Albums Chart this week with his album ‘Sing‘.

Barlow edges out chanteuse Paloma Faith’s sophomore album ‘Fall To Grace‘, which was poised for a début atop the charts earlier this week, eventually coming in at # 2. ‘Fall To Grace‘ is her second top 10 hit, following the # 9 entry of her platinum-certified début set, ‘Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful‘.

Scissor Sisters’ brand new album ‘Magic Hour‘ debuts at # 4 on the charts this week. Their insanely addictive Calvin Harris-assisted first single from the album ‘Only The Horses‘ is definitely one of my fave jams this summer!

Over at the UK Top 40 Singles Chart, East London Electronic act Rudimental scores a # 1 hit with their début single ‘Feel The Love‘ feat. John Newman, fending off competition by last week’s topper ‘We Are Young‘ by Fun. feat. Janelle Monae.
