Adele’s ’21’ Heading Back To # 1 On Billboard 200 Next Week, Monica, Bonnie Raitt Aiming For Top 10 Debuts

And you thought her album had FINALLY stopped selling. Haha! Oh you! Didn’t you know? Adelegend cannot be stopped! According to early sales predictions, Adele’s giganti-platinum album ‘21‘ is heading back to # 1 for a 24th week with estimated sales of around 120,000 by next week, equaling Prince and The Purple Revolution’s record for a 24-week stay at # 1 with the ‘Purple Rain‘ soundtrack. With 8.64 million units sold in the US already, and well over 20 million units sold worldwide in just over a year, looks like Adele could well give Shania Twain some competition in the long run, as Shania’s ‘Come On Over‘ remains the highest selling album by a female vocalist with sales of over 40 million units worldwide.

R’n’B veteran Monica should notch her 5th top 10 album with ‘New Life‘ predicted to sell around 60,000 units.

Veteran rocker Bonnie Raitt should also make it to the top 10 with her 16th studio album ‘Slipstream‘ with sales of around 50,000 units by the end of this week. If she does make it to the top 10, ‘Slipstream‘ will be her first top 10 album since 1994’s ‘Longing In Their Hearts‘ which topped the Billboard 200.

Stay tuned for all the chart action coming up next week!
