Queen Slay-dele needs a new house y’all, cuz in all probability she’s running out of space to keep the seventy gabazillion awards that she has collected already for her so-popular-your-mother-has-two-copies album ‘21‘, which shows no sign of slowing down in sales even after a year of its release.
Adele picked up 2 trophies at the glitzy ceremony held at the O2 Arena in London, including British Album Of The Year and Best British Female Solo Artist. After winning the Best Album trophy, she triumphantly declared,
“Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year. I’m so proud to be British and to be flying the flag.”
And as expected, Adele completely brought the house down with an absolutely stellar performance of ‘Rolling In The Deep‘ that received a standing ovation. Watch it right here :
While collecting her Best Female trophy from diva Kylie Minogue, Adele unleashed the following epicness,
“I feel like a drag queen next to you,’’
Could she BE any more perfect?????
After she was called on stage to accept the most coveted award of the night, the British Album Of The Year, the show’s host James Cordon cut off Adele’s acceptance speech, resulting in Adele promptly making the middle finger gesture.
YOU GO GURL!!
How can you call someone on stage for the most coveted award of the night and NOT have her say a little something?? You might as well just mail her the award instead in a potato sack. DUH.
“I’m sorry if I offended anyone but it was the suits that offended me. Thank you all very much and thanks to my fans. I don’t want them to think I was swearing at them.’’
The show’s broadcaster, ITV, later issued a statement saying,
“We regret this happened and we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running,’’
