Madonna’s ‘Masterpiece’ Snags The Golden Globe For Best Original Song

Make way for The Queen, lessers to the left bitches

After a week of unflattering and controversial comments (including a Lady Gaga diss that seems to have started a full-fledged war in Twitter-ville), Madonna’s hogging the spotlight with the right moves this week. Nothing important, no biggie you know, it’s just a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for ‘Masterpiece’, the song for her new film ‘W.E.’, making this her second win after she won the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for ‘Evita’ back in 1997.

Your faves could nevaarrr etc etc.

‘Masterpiece’ was co-written by Jimmy Harry and Julie Frost along with Madonna.

Later, when introducing the best foreign language film, in true Madonna style, she had a poke at host Ricky Gervais (who joked she remains “just like a virgin”).

“If I’m still just like a virgin, Ricky. Then why don’t you come over here and do something about it,” she said with a smile. “I haven’t kissed a girl in a few years. On TV.”

How can we not be impressed by that? We loveth.

The Best Original Score trophy went to Frenchman Ludovic Bource for ‘The Artist’.

And OMG YAY for Meryl Streep who just won her 7648th Golden Globe, this time for ‘The Iron Lady’, and that’s one movie that I cannot WAIT to watch! (I made the number up in case you might just end up believing it).
