New Nickelback Album ‘Here And Now’ To Be Released On November 21st

ATTENTION FOLKS!! GOOD MUSIC ALERT!! FOCUS!!

Canadian rock super-band Nickelback is back with their highly anticipated new album ‘Here And Now‘ scheduled for release on November 21st, 2011. ‘Here And Now‘ is the follow-up to their incredibly amazing triple platinum certified 2008 smash ‘Dark Horse‘ that has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.

Their latest single ‘When We Stand Together‘ sits at # 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Now this is one band that has consistently given us great music over the past decade and a half (haven’t heard any of it? GO DIE), and being a fan, I’m definitely looking forward to whats in store! The current single has quite a message, and although it’s unlike any previous Nickelback single, it’s a great prelude to what lies ahead. And Chad Kroeger’s voice is STILL pretty much THE authority as far this band is concerned!

Here And Now‘ releases on the same day when 2 of the biggest names in music drop new albums, including the Queen Of Hip-Hop/Soul Mary J Blige with ‘My Life Pt 2‘, and Rihanna with ‘Talk That Talk‘. As far as the coveted # 1 spot is concerned, it’s gonna be a tough battle between the 3. All of Mizz Mary’s albums posting massive first week sales, 4 of which have made it to # 1, including the absolutely iconic ‘The Breakthrough‘, that sold a whopping 729,000 copies in its first week. Princess Nasalfest Rihanna on the other hand has yet to have a # 1 album, but with her currently topping the charts with the single ‘We Found Love‘ feat Calvin Harris and her relentless campaigning and appearing EVERYWHERE doing EVERYTHING in the pretext of album promotions, ‘Talk That Talk‘ might just become the first # 1 album of her career.

Although Nickelback has had just one # 1 album in the US, each album they’ve released since 2001’s ‘Silver Side Up‘ has gone multi-platinum, and has outsold all of Mary¬†as well as Rihanna’s albums in the US. The band has sold consistently well throughout their career, and it’s their¬†longevity that’s their strongest point and make them the ‘dark horse‘ for the # 1 spot. (pun intented, get it, GET IT? Dark horse?? Their last album??? Whatever..duh)

November’s turning out to be a great month for music, and either way, I’m picking up all 3 albums. Let the battle begin!
