Alright now, STOP WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU’RE DOING, STOP YOUR PULSE, STOP YOUR HEART, STOP YOUR BOWELS, STOP BREATHING, STOP MOVING, BOW THE F*** DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION.
I wasn’t serious about this piece of news floating around, but this seems to be true!!
According to JustJared:
‘Madonna will perform her new single “Give Me All Your Love” at Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012 held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. JustJared.com can confirm that the catchy new tune, produced by Martin Solveig (”Hello“), is off of Madonna’s forthcoming 12th studio album.
M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj will make guest appearance during Madonna’s performance, which will feature all sorts of cheerleading tumbles, dances, and jumps.’
Now this is something that I’m ecstatic about, as well as apprehensive. She’s MADONNA, the QUEEN OF ABSOLUTELY AND UNDOUBTEDLY EVERYTHING. And she does not need to piggyback on someone else to prove her point. And as much as I love and respect her and loved ‘Hard Candy‘, it REEKED of desperation to sound relevant, especially cuz of Justin Timberpussy’s presence. Will the new single continue in the same strains? Or will she take a completely different turn?
Thankfully Martin Solveig will be producing the track, and that sorta rules out the whole Timbaland-Timberlake effect on her music. Either way, I’m HYPER-EXCITED about this, it’s new MADONNA…duh!
There are great divas and queens and voices and legends all around, much respect to Whitney, Celine, Mariah, Aretha, Sade, Mary. J. But as far as Pop Revolutionaries and Icons are concerned, it’s Madonna who still stands as THE ONE. Janet Jackson is the only other performer who stands in the same league. It’s not just about the voice, it’s how you revolutionize a generation through your music. And these two have been doing it for the past 3 decades now.
Like I said, BOW THE F*** DOWN! The QUEEN is back!
